I commenced my security career in 1978 working for Armaguard in Melbourne delivering large amounts of cash throughout the Melbourne metropolitan area and also servicing country Victoria.

I then went on to work as a prison officer during the 1980s in Pentridge Prisons notorious B division in Melbourne, my position in B Division was Top Locker the overseer for more than 50 inmates who were accommodated in the top tier and one of the most challenging roles of my life.

I then moved to South East Queensland and worked in security operations at Jupiter's Casino before rejoining the prison service as a prison officer at Boggo Rd prison in early 1990. When Boggo Road closed I joined the State Government Protective Security Service initially being based at the Supreme and District Courts in Brisbane.

I was then asked to take up a post at Queensland Health Scientific Services now Forensic Scientific Services at Coopers Plains in the role of Building Services Coordinator in charge of 24/7 security operations and building maintenance. After a few years into the role the complex expanded and I was employed directly by QH as head of security operations.

I was given the task of cutting the security budget and I achieved this buy engaging a private security provider and overseeing this service. Private security still provide services to FSS to this day. An additional role was that of project administrator overseeing a refurbishment and redevelopment of the site.

I established Decisive Security Services in 1999 prior to leaving QH in 2000 for a Building Supervisors position at MIM Holdings corporate office in Brisbane. I returned to QH about a year later as a contract employee and part of a project group that delivered a major security upgrade and other projects that followed. In 2008 I joined the International College of Kenshusei delivering courses in security operations at their Ipswich headquarters. I am now focused full time with making Decisive Security Services a premium security services provider in South East Queensland.
